Hawes is 7'1 though and gives us another legit C behind jonas.

i would do a calderon & ed davis swap for him

    lowry/lucas
    derozan/ross/anderson
    fields/kleiza
    bargs/amir
    jonas/hawes

and maybe sign a cheap third string pg like uzoh for depth.

Wow were not on the same page at all I wouldn't trade either of them for Hawes let alone both. Do you really think a Hawes over Grey would contribute more than both Davis and Jose.

well it has to be worth it for the 76er too.

calderon is expiring and not exactly thrilled about being a back up here in toronto. He is a good trading chip.

as long as we have amir we dont really need ed. yes i would part with one of them for hawes. i think a jonas/hawes combination at the C is solid moving fwd. We would still have bargs/amir at the 4 so i wouldnt lose sleap over ed davis.

imo davis and calderon would be an overpayment..the raptors lose an above average backup pointguard and a raw big man for hawes who will become a backup center...would not be to thrilled as a raptor fan if that were to go down.

I wouldn't trade Caldy or Ed Davis alone for Hawes, let alone both.

How about a trade involving Demar (+ picks/filler) for Harden? OKC may not be able to afford another monster contract, especially since they just gave Ibaka 40+ mill or so over the next 4 years. Demar's certainly not done as much as Harden at this stage, meaning he'd command less with his next paycheck.

Would you guys roll the dice on Blatche? I was just reading a CBSsports article about how is willing to play anywhere, even the D league, has recommited to the sport etc. offer the minimum and have him work with a hard nose, no BS coach like Casey...he maybe able to turn things around here. Thoughts? Is the risk worth the potential reward?

isn't that good? like if he could score, wouldn't that be your consummate bench big? big body that you can use against other prolific big men, fouls, and some scoring?

I would hate to see Ed Davis bang with big boys- so frail looking- and Calderon is an expiring.

If people are thinking we are getting anything of great worth for Calderon at this point in time, you must be kidding me.

I agree, I don't think there's as much of a market out there for Jose as we'd like to see but that's why we should keep him. There's no way we get close to equal value so why not let him play out or see what happens closer to the deadline?
