I'm in a long running, 12 man Keeper league that allows you to keep 4 players in the round the player was drafted in the previous season (with some penalties over time).

My keepers:
RB MJD (Round 2)
WR H. Nicks (4)
WR W. Welker (5)
RB D. McFadden (10)

I made a trade with last year's last place team, so I have the #1 overall pick in the draft. Who would you take #1? BTW - Lineup is QB, 2-RB, 3-WR, TE, 1-RB/WR/TE flex. Also, it is a 0.5 PPR league.

Most likely options available:

QB - all the good ones are kept. Best available will probably be Romo
RB - Peterson (on my team last year), Chris Johnson, SJAX
WR - Fitz, Andre Johnson, Wallace

The draft gets shallow really quickly. Should I gamble with AP being healthy later in the season, or go a safer route?

For me it's CJ2K or Fitz. I wouldn't even consider AP with those two guys available. Being a 3 WR league with 0.5 PPR, I might lean towards Fitzgerald if MJD signs soon. If MJD still looks like a big ? come draft time, then I'd definitely take CJ2K.

McFadden "fell" to the 10th round a few years ago. He was drafted in Rd 10, and then he has been traded every year since then, so his value has never increased. Our league rules stipulate that a player's value only increases, if the same owner keeps him for consecutive years.

If he hadn't been traded, he'd be up around Round 2 or 3 by now.

I'm concerned about MJD's contract too. That's why I am strongly considering CJ2K at #1. Actually, I'm trying to trade MJD and Nicks to another guy, but he isn't biting!

Our rules are pretty simple. Standard scoring except for the fact QB TDs are worth 6. We keep four players but one has to be a QB. 12 teams. I have the 2nd overall pick in our draft.

I currently have these players I would consider keeping:

QB:
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Christian Ponder

WR:
Calvin Johnson
Larry Fitzgerald
Torrey Smith

TE:
Vernon Davis

I have Beanie and Mendenhall at RB but I have no plans to keep either.

I have three trade offers on the table and I want to take one but dont know which I should take.

One is Brees and MJD for Calvin

Two is Newton and MJD for Fitz

Three is Romo and MJD for Fitz

Obviously given my RB situation and thinking MJD will play I want one of these offers, but which would you guys take?

Well Brees and MJD for Calvin is the best offer and the most fair


It all depends on how you feel Fitz will do this year compared to Megatron.


Me personally I take Newton and MJD for Fitz and keep Calvin.

^^ yea you need to keep Megatron, trade 2 is the best one.. you really need a QB

keep Cam, Megatron, Vernon Davis & Wells

draft the best RB you can with your 1st pick

you cant keep Fitzpatrick or Ponder

I would keep Megatron and go with the Cam Fitz exchange.

Your keepers would then be.

Depending on what kind of picks you give up for them? I would keep Ponder if it's cheap

I don't honestly think this belongs here, but it probably gets the most traffic, so yeah.

I'm having trouble picking my keeper in a standard league.

My best choices are -

Fitz
Lynch
Steven Jackson
Jamaal Charles(My keeper last year over Brees, yes, I was shooting myself all year over that)

The league is a 12 man league, and most top backs/QBs are likely to be off the table from keeper picks, and if I pick late in the first round, the first 12 or so RBs are likely to be off the board, so I almost feel I HAVE to take an RB as my keeper.

That rules out Fitz IMO.

After that, lynch will be serving a suspension, but that would ultimately be irrelevent as the end of the year is what matters most.

Jackson has always been a wildcard, you never really know what he's going to do.

And Charles, I don't know how he will recover from that injury, and even more than that, he will probably be splitting time.

My gut instinct is Charles or Lynch. I just can't decide.
