I can see us trading for another expiring contract, as crazy as that may sound. I just hope Joe D would use the financial flexibility responsibly and take care of Monroe and (eventually) Drummond, instead of going nuts with something like a max deal for Josh Smith. Dumars seems to do a good job of clearing space, but a poor job of managing the freedom he created.

Yeah I'd have no problem giving up Knight in a package for Irving, I just don't want Monroe to be part of it. I don't think there's anything we could really offer, not that the Cavs are looking to move him anyway lol.

Today, now that the thrill has worn off, I am not sure that I would do the trade. I am, however, intrigued by the prospect of getting Irving. I think anything short of Monroe is NEVER even considered. I still don't think the package gets it done, but I think I would have to see a year of Monroe and Drummond playing together before ever doing that.
