I went with Oregon not because I am an Oregon fan but because barring injury it really comes down to Oregon and USC. Oregon has made a BCS bowl 3 straight years and if Oregon didnt play like crap thru the first 3 quarters of last years game the Ducks could of beat USC. I think Oregons schemes and gimmick is more superior over Kiffins. Nobody else but these 2 teams to me even have a chance.

I'm going to be objective and select USC. Oregon will definitely give USC a battle, but USC just has too much experience and talent in key positions. USC really needs their defensive line to step it up, but their linebackers and secondary are going to be unbelievable.

I'm hoping that I'm wrong, but on-paper it is difficult to not pick USC...

USC is probably the more talented team. They also have the more experienced QB, which is huge. That being said USC always seems to lose to a team that they should beat. Plus I honestly don't trust Kiffin. Plus I think Oregon has the advantage on the defensive line and I think that will be the difference.

My biggest concern is making up for the loss of LaMichael. Barner is very good and will certainly put up huge numbers, but LaMichael had so many clutch runs. I'm not sure if Barner is going to be able to break as many tackles as LMJ did, and that's what really made LMJ great. If Mariota is as good as advertised, then that will take a lot of pressure off of Barner since we will be able to move the ball through the air more, but I don't like projecting with no evidence.
