When we drafted him, he had the most name recognition of DTs left. I actually had a Rogers Lions jersey once.

Slim pickings now, and we're out of picks, but there are a few guys we're looking at that are still available in other spots as well.

If I were you, I would deal one of your receivers to upgrade on the defensive line. No one needs that many 1,000-yard receivers and even with just two of those guys, your passing offense is probably the best in the game. If you want a third receiver, you can always pick up a serviceable 400-500 yard guy in the 26th round, but you cannot pick up a quality starting DT or DE this late.

Based on the rules thread, it mentions that everyone will have 26 players. I'm guessing that means there will be an open 26th round.

The 26th round will be an open free agency round. First come, first serve. You will also be able to cut and pick up players, one for one, beyond that.

That defense might be the worst defense I've seen. That defensive front isn't stopping any run game (even one that is pretty weak) and passing games are going to wreck it.

That offense might be elite, but they have to capitalize on every drive because their defense is going to give up major, major points.

I agree, but like I said earlier, I'd rather be super strong in some areas, instead of being above average across the board.

    Rodgers - Wallace - Cruz - Nelson

is a hell of a lot better than

    Rodgers - Wallace - Cruz - Knox

Unless the lineman we're getting is top notch, I dont think breaking up that trio is a good idea.

    Okay

Like I said, we dont think our D is awesome, but for a team that drafted pure offense, were pretty happy with it. We just didnt want to end up with an above average team that wasnt particularly great in any areas like yours. No offense. You have a very good defense, but its not super stand out, and you sacrificed your offense for it.

U got Nelson in the beginning of round 5. U could've gotten elite DT's then...(Kyle Williams, Kevin Williams, etc...)

Rodgers-Wallace-Cruz-Nelson isn't a whole lot better than something like:

    Rodgers-Wallace-Santana Moss-Nelson

Sacrifice one of your WRs early for a damn good slot player later in the game, and you keep a super strong O and have the ability to grab a DT that doesn't suck ***.

There's no doubt that your O has name recognition, but it's overkill.

yea I don't mind the strategy you used...but I think you overdrafted on some players.

I totally agree, but at our draft spot we really had no choice. We wanted the best O in the redraft, and waiting 50 spots between picks was too risky to let guys we wanted go by. If we didnt grab Nelson when we did, he wouldnt have been there 50 spots later.

I disagree. Going that 2nd route would have left us with an awesome offense. We wanted a super awesome offense. Lol
