Most forums have a Ot thread and since we have been growing lately I thought adding one would be a good idea.

For those who don't know a off topic thread is for general disscussion in the team forum. Feel free to discuss anything here whether it relates to the pens are not.
You can talk about yourself ask for advice or just talk about other sports or topics with fellow pens fans.

Basically anything that doesn't fit in the off season or game threads.
We will see how this goes.

Okay, I'll start one. I've always wanted to go to a foreign country for a vacation. What are the best foreign countries to go to? I'm planning a trip to Japan definitely, maybe one to an African savanna, maybe one to New Zealand, maybe one to Cancun, and maybe one to Italy. I want to go to at least 2 of the maybes. Which ones should I chose? I'm leaning on Italy and New Zealand (I heard it is absolutely beautiful there), but idk at this point. I also want to go to a place with amazing casinos, but I'm not going to go to Las Vegas. I'll go to a casino in India. I heard the non-crap places there are some of the most amazing and modern places in the world.

I've been to France, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Spain. Spain was by far the best of all of those places. I spent most of my time in Barcelona specifically. It also depends what you like to do. Do you like visiting or do you guys prefer just spending time on the beach relaxing with a book and a few drinks?

I prefer sightseeing over the beach, but would do both.

I've never been out the us only to Canada. I have been all through the Us though. My Friend went to Ireland recently and loved it so I wanna try that.
Of the places you said I would try cancun and Italy.
I want to go to Egypt, Rome, Bahamas, and Ireland.

That is why I want to go to Italy. Ireland is the New Zealand of the north pretty much. From pictures, they look really similar. Southern Mexico is actually nice (believe it or not), so Cancun wouldn't be bad. I'm not too much of a fan of the beach though. And I don't want to get Montezuma's revenge (somehow, I spelled that right the 1st time). And the same with me, I've only ever been to Canada and USA. Egypt wouldn't be bad, but it is in the same boat as Greece. Would be a great historical place to visit, but due to the political instability, it probably isn't a good idea to go there right now.

Cancun was a fun time for myself (going back this winter actually). If you do go make sure you get the all expense paid at the Moon Palace. 5+ food joints in the resort area free of charge and open at anytime of the night. Bars all over the place free included.

I've always wanted to go to Amsterdam since pot is legal there, but I think the whole legality is exaggerated a lot. The image I get is everyone sitting at cafes just smoking joints. I highly doubt that is true, and I heard that you could be arrested there just like anywhere else

Funny enough that's how my buddies described it exactly when they studied abroad and visited there. Not sure if it was totally true but that's what they said.

This was true two years ago when I went. I don't smoke but people smoked all over the city and the police didn't do anything. Like I said in the post above, this is no longer legal to visitors and residents must smoke in coffee shops. This will probably significantly hurt Amsterdam's tourism.
