Justin Upton and Daniel Hudson
for
Vance Worley, Dom Brown, Daniel Ruff, Cameron Rupp and Shane Watson ???
Who said bradley is even on the block? he is a prospect... bauer and upton are not.
Met fan from NJ here. Wanted to ask you guys what you would want for one of your spare outfielders. We keep hearing that Upton is on the block...that Kubel had an awful last two months and is available...that Parra's a good OFer and you havr two major leagueready kids plus now Ross. We have a good stick in Daniel Murphy who is playing out of position...natural third baseman with 40 doubles 12 70 .300 type stats...Murphy for Parra sounds fair....what do you think?

You would probably want more than a one for one. The Mets have a need for a more than just a cost controlled OF'er. In fact, with this trade situation, the Mets would need three things, tbh.. First would be a either a SS or a 2B to cover the loss of Murph.. If the player acquired was a SS, then Rueben Tejada could possibly move to 2B or the new acquisition would move to 2B.. Either way, a need is created when Murph departs.. The other two areas the the Mets need some help (not the only areas, btw) is in the pen and the outfield, preferably a player who can cover ground in CF.. The Dbax sent away a some of their depth in the pen in the Bauer deal.. so, you might consider:
Mets get Bryan Shaw, Ezequiel Carrera and Cord Phelps..
Indians get Daniel Murphy and one of Gabrial Ynoa or Rainy Lara
Then the Indians and Dbax make a trade, Murphy for Gerrado Parra.. This way, the Mets get the OF coverage, the 2B coverage and a back of the pen relief pitcher.. Thoughts?
