In this imaginary world, we draft Rose anyway. Duh.

Afflalo would hinder bulls 2014 free agency. I doubt they'll be interested in him.

With Lakers in position to win another three-peat, King James might might leave Miami in 2014 to join the bulls so he can compete against the Lakers.

It would depend on your definition of hinder is and what else is involved in a trade for him (going out and coming in). Afflalo would fill a need this team has, a very solid two-way player who is young and can improve on both ends still. The Bulls wouldn't need to target a shooting guard in free agency anymore if we get Afflalo, not one that would command a significant amount of money. If we were to acquire Afflalo, I'd let Deng walk and throw my money at Danny Granger.

Rose/Afflalo/Granger/Mirotic/Noah + Gibson/Butler/Teague off the bench would be amazing both defensively & at spreading the floor for Rose/Gibson/Noah to operate in the lane.

Afflalo would be making $7.5M in 2014. With Taj extension(should be around 6M-7M) kicking by then, there would be $10M-$11M left in bulls cap space. I doubt that could land an all-star player.

I'm still hopeful the bulls could get either Anthony or James in 2014.

Am I the only one that feels that ppl are going to start to overrate the Lakers a little bit now?

Not nearly as bad as you overrate the bulls.

Lol no. Their team right now is built for the next 2 years. I love me some Nash, but he's not going to be the type of player he is forever. Kobe is also no spring chicken.

If they put it together in time this year, they are serious contenders. If not, I'm sure next year they will still be a force (this is always considering relatively good health, by the way).

But I think guaranteeing them three in a row is a little overboard.

Can a team that is just barely under the cap sign and trade a player at vet minimum money for 2 years with picks for someone that is making 8+ million more than the player they are sign and trading out?

Kobe is 33 and has A LOT of mileage on him.
    Nash is 38...
Gasol they dont even want and he's getting old as well
They have no young excitng players (unless I'm forgetting someone)

Lakers window seems to be 2 years right now, health permitting. Everyone chill out.

    Believe in Seth Rollins
