Yeah but you respond to it like it's something that needs to be done and isn't getting done. It can't happen.

Should we trade Teague for LeBron? You 'absolutely do this'. Oh wait...it will never happen. The problem isn't dealing in hypotheticals. It's when you deal in them like they are fact and criticize Jerry/FO for not "making the moves" that are impossible to make.

WRONG. The Bulls are over the luxury tax threshold already. Their payroll is over $73M. The tax line is just over $70M. They're hard-capped at $74.307M. We have zero room to add anyone unless it's a rookie-minimum for a sophomore player or younger.

We can't even afford a 2nd year guy at the minimum.

I think we could at the sophomore-minimum. I've read that, forget where though. Problem is, a guy like Malcolm Thomas could essentially make more than that from another team hence why we wouldn't acquire him.

Jpro said theres no need to move Boozer, I was basically stating if something like this was on the table you do it. I didn't criticize anyone or anything, I never said it was realistic. So lets just drop it

We should be a facilitating team with the Howard trade. Howard Boozer and Rip to LA, Gasol to Bulls. Bynum 2 LA firsts and a Bulls 1st to Orl

the Lakers have no more 1st rounders to give.

And you'd be trading Boozer, Rip, and a 1st for Pau Gasol and his $38,000,000 over two years (and that's BEFORE his 15% trade kicker).

We'd then have to fill in Rip's spot on the team.

Regardless, we can't do this trade because of our $74,307,000 hard cap. Can't go over that, and this deal does that.

I'll pass on Gasol, lets stick with Boozer for another year then amnesty him.

I wish, but not for Gasol. It looks like Afflalo is getting shipped out of Denver. If I could only find a way to reroute that plane...

He's the guy I want at our 2 spot. I know it will never happen, but, hey, that's what 2k12 is for.
