He definitely is defensively. I'd love him as a deep, deep bench guy (a la Scal) for his experience and ability to hit the occasional big 3 if for some reason we had to give him minutes when it counted, but I definitely don't want him to play a significant role on this team.
I don't think Kirk will hold up. We need another PG, and I'm not sold with Nate. Nate is too small and is a defensive liability in the playoffs. Hinrich would fulfill the back-up role in the playoffs with D.Rose coming off from injury. I don't think Hinrich would handle playing both guards position in the playoffs for long stretches. Another PG who would handle the ball for two minutes to give both Hinrich and D.Rose a breather to finish the games.
Other guys I have healthy concerns for are: Noah, Boozer, Deng, and RIP. it should be a fun year
