    90s Rock

I know there's a thread for non rap music but I wanted to focus specifically on 90s rock. I know there's a few others here that still rock the 90s like I do.

Feel free to post videos, articles about tours etc related to 90s rock bands.

I'll start off by expressing my obsession with Alice in Chains. Layne Staley's music has had such a huge influence on my teen years. Down in a Hole and Nutshell are my two favorite songs by them. If you have never heard his other band Mad Season it's really good too but not as defined as AIC. I believe Cantrell really helped push Layne to express himself.

My second favorite band is of course Nirvana. The one thing that really amazed me with Nirvana is people of every race, religion etc all listened to them. The Hispanic kids at school would be rockin some cumbia then the next track would be Nirvana. Black guys would jam out to TuPac and rock it out with some Nirvana. Cool kids, geeks, band nerds, jocks... We all loved it. We could relate to it.

Tool, if they count (they are also in the 2000's).

Alice in Chains is a close second.

Yeah I'd say any band that was prominent in the 90s counts. Metallica started in the 80s but was still big in the 90s too.

    Y'all remember the band Poe?

    done

I mentioned Tool, who are by far and away my favorite band of all time. A few others I love, in no order:

    REM
    Alice in Chains
    Metallica
    Snoop Dogg
    The Smashing Pumpkins
    Outkast
    Beastie Boys
    GNR
    Cypress Hill
    Sublime

I turned 15 in late 1990, so its my favorite era of music.

I thought Undertow was better, but the first half of AEnima is freakin amazing. Eulogy is arguably their best song.
