Prime 1 on 1 Lockdown Game

To help pass the time in the offseason this is a new quick game that I made up where two legendary athletes are playing 1 on 1. The real challenge is not who would win but how one player would handle guarding the other.

The person who posts first (in this case me) will name the offensive player and the defensive player. The offensive player gets 10 possessions to try and score. Both players are assumed to be in their prime.

The next poster quotes the matchup and predicts how many possessions the offensive player would score out of 10 with a brief reason and then posts the new matchup. The game continues with that new matchup.

    Example:

    Offensive Player: Steve Nash
    Defensive Player: Gary Payton

Prediction: Nash would score 4 out of 10 possessions against the Glove. He's crafty enough around the basket to get a few. Also his perimeter shot would force Payton to D him up tight but this plays right into Payton's hands. I see him holding Nash under 50% for that matchup.

    New matchup
    Offensive Player: Shaquille O'Neal
    Defensive Player: Kevin Garnett

    Go!

Shaq would score 7 out of 10 times because Shaq is a legit center who is much to big for KG

Since he didn't follow the rules the next person to quote the KG matchup and give their response can just pick the new players.

    Same one I did lol

I say Tmac scores 6 out of 10 times because how versatile he was in his prime. Good shooter great finisher near the basket and could post up. Kobe played great defense in his prime but 6 out of 10 for tmac is what I say

Iverson would chuck 5-6 jumpers and hit 1 of them. Then he'd attack the rim and score on 3 of his last 4 possessions.

    Offensive Player: Larry Bird
    Defensive Player: Ron Artest
