NonGiants NFC East Thread (PHI - Dealing with KP's Knee)

Dallas just needed to improve their secondary and they did.

Eagles just needed time so their new guys could gel; now they have a full offseason.

Skins just needed a QB and deeper WR group and they got it.

This is going to be a very very very tough year. I never doubt the Giants ability to come in and kick everyone's ***, but when you look at the schedule (Packers, Niners, Saints, rest of the NFC South AND the AFC North).....this could be a really bad year for us.

Watching NFL Network today and it sounds like RGIII is getting even more hype than expected. Like NFL read type of hype. He really could step right into the league and with their defense there's no telling how well the Skins might be.

Gonna be a tough ride fellas....

I think the Cowboys are the team. Vick is still injury prone. Eagles lost their best corner imo. Redskins need experience first.

Romo may or may not be clutch but hes still the better of the other two right now, and he also has a more talented receiving core.

I was not worried with our defense healthy. Putting a healthy T2 and Tuck on that defense with Prince and the Lb's getting another year would of been filthy.

Now T2 likely done and Boley with a hamstring injury... Those are never good.

Depending on how well RGIII does, the Skins will finally have an intimidating offense to match their pretty intimidating defense. It all depends on RG3's performance though. Knowing their bad luck with drafting/free agency, he'll probably bust lol

Cowboys. Eagles with Vick are hit and miss with us and while the Redskins swept us last season, they don't play that way against everyone. The Cowboys are the most consistent team imo of those 3 and the fact that it came down to us or them last season makes them our biggest threat.

I'd rather wear a dress for a better chance at maintaining my heterosexual appearance.

    Trent Cole has shoulder injury

Posted by Mike Florio on August 1, 2012, 3:37 PM EDT

The Eagles have plenty of defensive ends, and they may need all of them.

With starter Jason Babin already missing from practice with a calf strain, starter Trent Cole will miss anywhere from a day to a week with a shoulder injury, according to Reuben Frank of CSNPhilly.com.

Cole said of the injury, “I’m always ready.”

“I think with injuries in this day and age of football, you’ve got to be patient,” coach Andy Reid said. ”You don’t want to put the player in a bind. You think about them first and then the practices. You don’t want to put them in a position where they get hurt worse than what they already are.”

The injury occurred Monday. The swelling reduced on Tuesday, the team’s off day, but it returned when Wednesday tried to practice.

The absence of Babin and Cole gives Brandon Graham extra opportunities to prove that he wasn’t and isn’t a bust.

Starting tight end Brent Celek continues to miss practice with a knee injury. He said that he can run in a straight line, but that he has trouble cutting.

^And I saw somewhere in passing that Jason Babin was injured too? Cole and Babin injured is big for the Eagles line.

The Redskins have signed former NYG, Notre Dame and Don Bosco RB Ryan Grant. Add 1 to the NFL's tally of Jersey guys.

I think Romo gets a lot of unfair criticism. Guy is an undrafted over achiever from the beginning that they happened to stumble upon.

I think he's a great QB actually, as much as I hate that team and everyone on it. He's definitely earned the choke artist label, but he's been close enough that it could change at some point. I mean the guy has the #5 all time QB rating.....that is, if you care about stats.

Their biggest problem isnt Romo, it's the complete lack of leadership and discipline from the top down. Jones keeps getting these "yes men" types.....Wade, Garrett.....the reason Jimmie Johnson worked is the team was stacked with talent and Johnson knew how to take charge.

Now they have talent, but they all run wild. You can ask any agent, explayer, etc. that has been to their camps. It's completely different than a team like the Packers, Steelers, Giants, etc. They let the big ego guys do what they want. They need a guy like Cowher or something who can whip them into shape.
