Jason Pierre Paul scheduled to have back surgery

He also played through back injury last year.

JPP played with back injury last year and received multiple epidural injections to get through season. Doctors believe he should be better.

JPP has had chronic back issues since college and a source said it bothered him all last season, which explains his drop in production.

It's unclear at this point why JPP waited until June to have the surgery ... and whether he'll be ready for the start of the season.

Pierre-Paul was trying to manage his back issues. Wasn't working. Finally decided it was best to have the surgery.

NFL Sirius said he'd be questionable for week 1 with this surgery.

Whatever. I'm too accustomed to injuries on this team to care. I'm sure half our starters will be lost in preseason.

Wow, so we may open up the season w/out our top pass rusher. Why couldn't this be done between January - April? Hopefully it wasn't b/c he was too busy getting fat in the offseason.

We better hope that Tuck, Kiwi, Damontre, Ojomo, and Tracy are ready to bring it against the cowpies and denver.

    Surgery was successful (obviously): http://www.giants.com/news-and-blogs...4-76fc37f6b18d

And apparently he's like 3 miles from my home.

I really just hope this back thing is why he fell off last year and he'll rebound. He got bullied last year by LTs. Sounds like Moore is pretty solid, but I bet they don't use a rookie until week 8

Interested to see Ojomo and Tracy get more time. Love Trattou if they can get him going.

Unfuİkingbelievable....this changes who he is. I doubt he'll be ready to go week 1. We shouldn't rush him back. JPP is big enough to play DT....maybe he be productive there if he lose a step at DE.

This changes our entire defensive scheme IMO. FUİK

This is what he gets for hoisting 185 pounds of Prince over his shoulder, parading him down a hallway, and dumping him an ice cold tub. Karma always catches up and is a bitİh

Which is exactly why that stunt was stupid. Hasn't he ever heard about athletes getting hurt doing things as simple and meaningless as carrying groceries in the house?
