Agreed. Honestly, this is the time where being off topic is more welcomed. There is NO jays news worth discussing. And to be quiet honest, i got a good laugh out of it, and no harm was done

Have yet to hear that the Jays have shown interest in Japanese pitcher Shoehi Otani, which surprises me considering his upside. 6'4 190lbs righty who has apparently hit triple digits with the fastball playing high school ball in Japan. He would have to be signed as a free agent without having to use the blind posting system, because he has yet to sign with a Japanese pro team. The Jays missed out on Darvish, and need to be in on this kid. I think having a Japanese star in Toronto would be huge for the franchise.

They've pretty much used up their Int'l allocation of $2.9mm, though they cancelled one of the guys for about $800k, so they have about that but i would think someone would offer more. If the jays overspend they are into the penalties and may not be able to do much next year.

The current $2.9 runs until end of June 2013. As i say, they've spent about $2mm or so of this.
