Gooden - Rebounds pretty well, and not getting playing time
Dalembert - Same here and and is also not getting playing time, coincidentally on the same team as Gooden.
Hayes - Another big not playing who rebounds well.

I wonder why the Knicks are waiting on Martin. They need to bolster that front court with the injuries they have.

without Rasheed we need interior defense when Chandler rests.
without Felton we need penetration (beevus) and a lead guard.

So we need to get healthy.

The knicks definitely need another big man, you can't depend on two 38 year olds and a 40 year old front court backing up Amare (injury prone) and Chandler(injury prone history).

There isn't another team in the league you can conceivably see their whole front court unable to play.

Knicks are only carrying 2 point guards, if Felton is healthy it's not a big problem, but this team would be better with a real back up.

@ Anji----You don't think Pablo is a serviceable backup? Look around the league at backup PG's, the quality of players aren't that good.

With Felton's return imminent, he'll get back to around 32-34 mpg, Kidd will probably see around 4 or 5 minutes at the 1 and the remaining time can go to Pablo (around 10 mpg.) I think our bigger concern is the health of our backup bigs- we need Camby and Sheed back in the worst way to take some of the pressure off our starting front line.

The problem with Pablo is his scoring.

I think he does everything else at the nba level. The problem with kid is he is a shooting guard.

Most teams in the league have a better back up situation that the knicks have going. Not too many teams carrying non-scoring or guards who can't penetrate.

That doesn't look a little lopsided to you depth wise in the front court? Keep in mind Novak almost exclusively plays the 4 in our rotation and rarely covers 3s. Copeland has a very difficult time guarding most 3s.

If were gonna sign KMart, it can't be a swap for a G/F. What happens if/when JR goes down? Or god forbid JR AND Shump/Kidd/Brewer (like we have right now with two reserve bigs out). Than we have 5 guys who play the 4 and 1 or 2 that can play the 2/3.
