Is it possible to insure Amare's contract and trade him in a package for Gasol? Gasol is having major issues with D'an and Amare has thrived in the D'an system w/ Nash so is this crazy? I love Amare and even now, he looks like the real deal offensively but I feel like we need more D than O right now and Gasol can give you a decent amount of all of the above.

I think if Amare 'comes back to form', he can be very effective for the Knicks in the role of scorer & finisher. He's showing better hustle and Amare has played better D in Woodson's system of late. Amare doesn't need to create or get the amount of touches that Gasol needs to be effective offensively. Gasol is a better rebounder/defender and that is the biggest reason to go after a player like him.

    bla bla bla....

I feel you on Amar'e defensive ability....I have major concerns myself. The thing with Gasol is that he's a starter post up player and that would take away from Melo and Tyson games..IMO. I like Amar'e off the bench...for 25-30 mins a night or less.

Woodson is using him to our benefit now....where he'll bench Amar'e if his defense is not up to par.

This is what l think we need...or players I would like to get...

    1. Jason Terry-Bos
    2. Deshaun Stevenson-Atl
    3. Brandon Jennings-Mil
    4. Shannon Brown- Phoe
    5. ZaZa Pazulla- Atl
    6. Kmart.- FA
    7. Joel Prizbilla

We can use Novak, Pablo, Brewer, White, Copeland for collateral.

I think 2 guys like Jennings and Prizbilla or Kmart would give us what we need in the playoffs

We wont get equal value for amare. His contract is horrific. With knee issues..... Hes coming back into form, looking better each night. Having no trouble getting into the paint, as his FG% has been redic of late. Also dare I say playin a little D and blocking shots. Better to keep him, and see how far we can go this year. Deal brewer and white, for a serviceable backup pg. Then draft a big. We should be looking good

I wouldn't trade Amare right now, he is doing really good in his role right now. You should be able to build his value back up at this rate, a team might take a flyer on him in the offseason for 45 million over twoo...........

Can't even finish my post looking at that number. But hay, we might have the best 6th man in the League.

Gasol is also one of the best passing big men in the league. That's always a part of his game that people forget about...

I agree. That's why he would complement Tyson and melo better than stat.
Because he is a much better passer than stat

    Nemanja Nedovic
