I'm honestly all for spending one more year rebuilding. Adding any of those guys who could go top 10 would be awesome for us. MacKinnon, Shinkaruk, or Monahan would all be massive pickups. That is a positive IMO.

    Positives...
    Next year's draft is strong
JVR gives us a nice young piece and finally someone over 6'2" who is NHL ready up front
We might actually get to see Kadri this year

I'm almost positive that Kadri trained with Roberts last summer. It doesn't make a huge difference for everybody. He isn't Jesus...

I actually wouldn't be opposed to this. It would probably spell the end of Burke but it would be worth it IMO.

To much talent boys. Burke will add, trust me he's not done. We have such solid building blocks in Kessel, lupul and phaneuf.
Lupul was suppose to have this type of potiontial, so I'm not shocked to see him excell with a star like kessel.

If we land Lou, look out!!!!

If we crapped the bed and ended up with Nathan MacKinnon a future phenom from my home province I would absolutely lose my mind in an insanley crazy good way! That'd be like the best day I could ever have as a Leaf fan aside from seeing us win a Stanley Cup hopefully some day before I die or preferably before I end up wearing depends.

A positive, Elisha Cuthbert comes to home games.

Positive... on a serious note, the farm team has more depth.
    Positive, the Gardiner trade.

    Positive the Lebda trade.

Positive... ummmm... that's about it to be honest. At the moment. Which is real sad if you think about it.

Every off season Kadri has put on 20 pounds. Christ he should weigh 300lbs by now.

    Haha seriously.

"Oh he's put on considerable muscle mass... he's gone from 170-180."

"Oh he's put on way more muscle this off-season, he's 180-185"

Being 6 feet tall, anything over 200ish lbs wouldn't be a positive for Kadri. Realistically kadri needs to be stronger on the puck, and on the dump and chase. Confidence will go a long way in his development.

I expect kadri to stick this up coming season. Hence Burke saying these exact words.

No, you read an article from last year. He opened last season at 188 because he worked with Gary Roberts last season. Leafs website has him listed at 188. We've had this conversation already.

I know. He's gonna be obese soon!!!

If he gains too much muscle, he's gonna lose his speed and his flexibility(stick handling/agility). He just needs a shot at this point IMO. A full time shot with top 6 minutes and PP minutes and we'll see what he's got. I still think he's going to be at least a 60 point offensive player, especially if he's a winger and doesn't have the defensive responsibilities of a center. If he gets full time top 6 minutes next season, which hopefully he does, I do think he'll be over 50 points.

Based on recent things going into the new season, my positives are:
    - Bringing in JVR and getting rid of Schenn
    - Jake Gardiner's development
    - Keeping Grabovski and Kulemin around
    - Drafting Morgan Rielly
    - Getting to watch the Leafs in the Winter Classic
    - We have some young prospects that could be interesing coming into camp
    - New season, new coach, new hope

    Positives:

Drafting Morgan Rielly and Matt Finn
Trading for JVR and not giving up a King's ransom for him
Resigning Kulemin at a very low cost
Jake Gardiner will have another year under his belt
Kadri should finally get some real playing time
Seeing what Holzer will bring to the table
    Having Reimer back healthy
Possibly drafting top 10 next year in what appears to be a solid draft

    Legendary
