I know haha. Yep I post on that site sometimes as well.
Cardinals top prospect Oscar Tavares is considering playing for Team Canada in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
Taveras, who was born in the Dominican Republic, holds dual citizenship from time he spent as a child growing up in Montreal. The Cardinals would likely prefer to have him in big league camp to work with the major league coaching staff, and spend time around the veteran outfielders though, so if Taveras is keen on trying to make the club out of spring training he'd be wise to pass on the WBC opportunity.

I'm fine with him playing, probably see some good competition.
We could really see how he measures up in big league caliber games as well. I'd rather him be at camp but I'm sure he will be alright.
There is a kid named Lee Stopelman in minor league camp creating some buzz..

Kinda reminds me of Glavine.
Can we have Austin Wilson back?
The Cardinals are looking to replace yet another starter and top pitching prospect Michael Wacha could get the call, according to MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch. Wacha was scheduled to start for Triple-A Memphis today, but was scratched fueling speculation the Cardinals' top pick in the 2012 amateur draft could soon be making his MLB debut. Nearly 40% of MLBTR's readers, when asked by Steve Adams this past Wednesday, predicted Wacha will be the next 2012 first-rounder to reach the Majors.

Undrafted Petrick moving up in Cards' system
More: http://www.stltoday.com/sports/baseb...YLpZw.facebookThe third day of the 2012 baseball draft was supposed to be a great one for Zach Petrick. He sat on a couch with his teammates in his dorm room at the University of Northwestern Ohio, speakers plugged in to his computer, listening for a name that never was called.
The 6-foot-3 hard-throwing senior righthander knew he wasn’t going to be an early-round selection, but he and his coaches liked his chances later in the draft.
As the rounds passed , he paced back and forth from the couch to his bedroom, distracting himself with YouTube videos and Internet surfing. After 40 rounds and 1,238 possible chances to hear his name, the third day of the draft turned into the day he thought his baseball career was over.
“All of those names,” Petrick recalls. “And not one of those was mine.”
But the disappointment only lasted four days. Moments before he prepared to drive home to try out for a local independent league baseball team to salvage his dream, Petrick received a call from Brian Hopkins that sent chills through his body.

I saw Petrick last Saturday at the Springfield Cardinals game. I got autographs from Corey Baker, James Ramsey, and Stephen Piscotty.

About a half-dozen players signed in our section (Section C, right next to the dugout), but I just got Ramsey and Piscotty's autographs. I didn't want to be greedy.

Concessions cost about the same as the Major League ballpark, but our tickets were $9 each (face value) and we were second row off the field. Our section, C, is right next to the Cardinals dugout and a few of the players signed autographs before the game.
