This will be Martinezís final regular-season start and what the Cards hope is a Wild Card tuneup. Martinez, who has allowed two or fewer runs in four of his last five starts, has a 2.41 ERA in three starts vs. Pittsburgh, but has lost twice.

Glasnow will try to finish strong following a personally disappointing year. The top prospectís success hasnít followed him to the Majors, where he has a 6.35 ERA in three starts. He allowed four runs in St. Louis in his MLB debut.

Kuhl has likely pitched his way into the Piratesí 2017 rotation, but he would like to bounce back from a three-inning, five-run outing vs. the Cubs on Monday and a 5.82 September ERA. This will be his first start at Busch Stadium.

The Cardinals reworked their rotation so that Wainwright would line up to pitch a potentially critical game 162. Heís had an uneven season but fared better at home, and has helped the Cardinals to wins in five of his last six starts.

Vogelsong will make his 14th start of the season and perhaps the last of his career. The 39-year-old veteran has struggled down the stretch, posting an 8.77 ERA over his last six outings after logging a 2.48 ERA in his five starts prior to that.

That probably ranks on my top 5 moments I've seen while watching on tv. Such a great moment
