Leake had his 55-inning homerless streak snapped in his last start, but heís 6-for-6 in the quality start department and continues to be the teamís most consistent starter. Heís pitched into the seventh in four of six starts.

Fresh from Triple-A Iowa, Butler will make his first start as a Cub since being traded from Colorado in February. The righty has allowed nearly two home runs per nine innings over his previous 28 big league starts.

Wacha made his fifth quality start of the season on Sunday, though he didnít factor in the decision. Heís 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA and .185 opponents' batting average in three home starts this year. His career ERA at Busch Stadium? 3.56.

Lesterís solid start (three hits, one earned run) became a footnote Sunday in the Cubsí 18-inning marathon against the Yankees, but the southpaw is the only National League pitcher to throw at least 100 pitches in every start.

Arrieta struggled mightily Tuesday in Colorado, collecting only two swinging strikes with a fastball that is still suffering from a downtick in velocity. The righty allowed nine runs (five earned) on nine hits in just 3 2/3 innings.

I agree it's frustrating. The word when he came here was that he's a late starter but it's hard to make that excuse by mid May lol
