Aug 16, 2012 - Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand says QB Matthew Stafford is on track to earn a contract designed to keep him with the team for the rest of his career. Lewand told Bill Simonson of "The Huge Show" this week that the Lions aren't there with the contract yet, but says Stafford has shown that he is the type of player who can lead the franchise.
