Mikel Leshoure (ankle) returned to practice Thursday.
Disaster averted. The Lions won't be releasing any details on Leshoure's injury thanks to their CIA-style attitude on information, but it now looks like he sat out Wednesday's practice as a precaution. Perhaps he merely sustained a Grade 1 tweak in the Thanksgiving loss to the Texans, causing him to sit out overtime. Provided Leshoure gets in another practice on Friday, he'll be in line for his usual 12-15 carries and goal-line work against the Colts Sunday. The power back has five touchdowns in his last four games.rotoworldLions LT Jeff Backus (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday.
Backus was immediately reinserted with the starters. First-round pick Riley Reiff, who showed well in the Thanksgiving loss to the Texans, was sent back to the second unit.

Sucks Rieff went back to second unit. We wont be making the playoffs so why not let him play?

better question is why not try backus out at guard and see if he can outperform Petterman. Then it may also extend his career a couple of years.
