they try too hard to get a big hit, instead of wrapping up and getting the sure tackle.

Soon enough Roger Goodell will try to make the NFL the NFFL (National Flag Football League), He is ruining football and what it represents.

Suh played the run much better last year but he still was getting beat on a routine play. As far as Sapps screen theory is concerned the DE's and OLB's need to play that better before I worry about a guy who is busting up the line and making it harder for the screen to actually develope.

    Yes

Sapp was constantly fat and looked out of shape. If he was in better shape he would have probably been even better. Plus lets not forget he fell in the draft cause he failed the drug test.

if the team starts to actually surround him with defensive ends the quality of Simeon Rice than yes I do think he would be better. Right now Qb's just roll out against Suh because the pressure is not coming from the ends like it should be and allows the qb to just readjust and throw. Personally I think Suh has the ability to rival some of the better Dlinemen to have played this game, but he still needs to work on his abilities.

Brian Hartline - WR - Dolphins

NEWS: DetroitLions.com mentions Brian Hartline as someone who could be a target of the team in free agency.

ANALYSIS: Hartline seems to be one of the few Dolphins free agents that the team has actually shown interest in re-signing, so he's not guaranteed to hit the market. But, he would be a nice addition on the outside opposite Calvin Johnson, and would be a massive upgrade on late-season starter Kris Durham. Nate Burleson, Ryan Broyles, and Mike Thomas are better suited for the slot, and Titus Young is likely on the outs. Hartline is said to be seeking $6 million annually.

The Lions are expected to consider releasing RG Stephen Peterman and C Dominic Raiola this offseason.
Raiola is 34 with a $4.05 million base salary and $250,000 roster bonus. Peterman is owed $600K in offseason bonuses, in addition to a $2.65 million salary. The Lions are expected to consider "revamping," their offensive line for 2013, particularly on the interior. Raiola seems the more likely cap casualty.

Nate Burleson - WR - Lions

NEWS: Nate Burleson (leg) expects to be ready for the beginning of the offseason program.

ANALYSIS: Monday's release of problem child Titus Young puts even more emphasis on Burleson's health. The 31-year-old veteran carries a $6.5 million cap number for 2013, but the Lions are desperate for wideout help behind Calvin Johnson. Ryan Broyles is rehabbing another torn ACL and the only other receivers on the roster are borderline NFL talents Mike Thomas, Devin Thomas, Patrick Edwards and Brian Robiskie. Burleson will have some leverage if/when the Lions ask him to restructure his deal.

Titus Young - WR - Lions

NEWS: The Cowboys are not expected to put in a waiver claim for former Lions WR Titus Young.

ANALYSIS: The news comes via Cowboys.com's Bryan Broaddus, who is very plugged into the team's intentions. Young might be considered by Dallas if he clears waivers and avoids offseason trouble ahead of training camp, but the Cowboys won't put in a claim. We tentatively expect no teams to claim Young off waivers.
