    Jenkins - Delmas - Jefferson/Elam - Houston
    Bentley - Green - Florence - Spievey

decent with some depth as well
this makes mathieu in the later rounds all the more appealing

    Houston,Jenkins,Mathieu,Bentley,Green,Greenwood.
You will find ur starters in the group as Houston already is one.
Then just draft a safety or two(Elam, Reid, Jerfferson, Vaccaro, McDonald, Lester, Phillip Thomas, Rambo and Williams from Georgia, Kenny Ladler, theres close to 10 more)

Basically proves this draft is loaded at safety. Draft 2 Mayhew. One in the 2nd or 3rd, one in the later rounds.

    @caplannfl
#Lions worked out 3 punters this week: Chas Henry, T.J. Conley, and Spencer Lanning. Henry and Conley also worked out for them in October.
It's mind boggling why Harris is still here. Bring in Henry, at least he can boot them 40+ every time with nice hangtime

is it just me, or does every other team seem to have a kicker who can boot it out of the end zone on kickoffs, and a punter who can net 50 yards?

No I was thinking the same thing. As many holes that we have on this team I was thinking that maybe in the later rounds take a look at Dustin Hopkins out of Florida State to be our kicker. The kid can kick the **** out of the ball and most definitely can boot it out of the end zone.

His stats for Kickoffs the four years he was at Florida State were:

    Total Kickoffs: 341
    Total Touchbacks: 135
    Touchback %: 39.5%

    AAL: Ndamukong Suh
    Combined Tackles: 42
    Solo Tackles: 34
    Assisted Tackles: 8
    Sacks: 6.5

    Detroit Lions 9-4

Not necessarily. We just need a punter who is also a kick off specialist.

A guy I like is Quinn Sharp. Guy averages almost 50 yards a punt and has improved it every year. Not to mention he's 47/56 on FG's in the past 2 years, but he's more of a punter.

Quinn Sharp, P, Oklahoma State No. 13
Iowa State at Oklahoma State, noon, FX

Yes, I'm sneaking a punter on the list this week. Nick Harris is doing a fine job, but the 34-year-old veteran is simply a stopgap. If you watched the 49ers play the Seahawks this Thursday, you saw San Francisco's Andy Lee boom a ball 66 yards to bury Seattle deep in their own territory late in the fourth quarter of a one-score game. The Lions need this kind of special teams weapon and Sharp could be the best option available.

An All-American honorable mention in 2011, Sharp has seen his punt average go up each of the past four seasons, topping out at 47.5 yards this year. He also kicks field goals, but that's not his future in the NFL. He could potentially be an option on kickoffs. He led the nation in touchbacks by a wide margin in 2011.

Walterfootball has him expected to go round 6 to UDFA. I'd take him in the 6th, atleast you know you have a punter for the next 10 years

Lions promoted FB/TE Shaun Chapas from the practice squad.
WR Lance Long was waived in a corresponding roster move. MLive.com believes Chapas' promotion is likely confirmation that Brandon Pettigrew (ankle, doubtful) won't suit up for Week 15.

Fairley was just placed on IR.

And just saw a nice little quip about Raiola being behind in his child support payments for his 5-year old outside of his marriage.

$14K for support and almost $2K for child care.... really? I bet you she doesn't even work and just collects about $190K a year.
