McJoe had a good point, we do not have a trade idea thread, so I thought I would create one and go first.

To Toronto:
Bobby Ryan

To Anaheim:
Tyler Bozak
Joe Colborne
Nikolai Kulemin
Cody Franson

No way. Plus he and carlyle dont get along. That deal may have gotten nash but ryan wont come that cheap

You were closer with ryan lol. I dont want kane. He's interesting because he might be able to play centre but he'd cost a lot more.

We won't get Bobby mostly for that reason he probably doesn't wanna come to Toronto.
I don't have any logical trade ideas because I don't see the Leafs doing anything soon it's been dead. So if tomorrow they made a blockbuster I wouldn't be able to even guess who would go.

If I'm not mistaken Joe Thornton has 2 years left at 7million each year and they are up against the cap with a few players that they need to resign. I wonder what it would take to get him, and if you guys think he would be as good a fit with Kessell as I think he would.

All wishful thinking really, But we need that true #1 C, and a goalie with some higher upside. It may not take too steep of a price for Bernier where he hasn't been given a chance to prove himself. I would take a chance on him for the right price. I could never see Getzlaf leaving the Ducks, but he is the guy who I would be making a major push for. He'd be our leader by example on the ice, big physical skilled guy who can play all situations. He's won a cup, olympic gold, WJC gold. Getzlaf and JVR would make a killer combo.

Did any of the players from the Ducks like playing for Carlyle? Sounds like a lot of the players hated him. Makes me question his hiring even more. Why would any UFA want to sign with the Leafs if the majority of Carlyle's past players hate him?

i only know of 1 player that hated him. Ryan.

Perry and Getzlaf were not happy when he was fired.
