Wrong time too do it. He was horrible average wise. He has to raise it. I would not offer him more then a 4 year deal.

problem with Granderson, you take him out of the Yankees lineup and out of the AL East for ballparks (especially Yankee Stadium); then he would no longer be a 30+ HR hitter...

I doubt the Yanks even pick up his option. He has a 13 million dollar option or a 2 million dollar buy out.

They'll pick the option up, but they'll let him walk when he hits free agency. Granderson is so overrated.

Some NY writer suggested the Yanks trade Granderson for Darin Ruf. I would laugh my *** off and do that 10 times out of 10

It would probably make more sense if they trade him when they pick up his option to get some value in return.

this....If I were them I would pick the option up and trade him because I wouldnt want to resign him for the price he will likely get

    Jon Heyman:

#yankees will pick up the $13M option on granderson's deal for 2013. easy call there, despite postseason struggles.

do we really need 7 40hr hitters though?..

what the Yankees need is a complete lineup , meaning speed, power, and batters that hit for avg

Side note, watching the NLCS and who would have thought Marco Scutaro would be this hot? I know he sucked with the Sux. Even Pablo was benched at one time.

    And Lohse sucks.
