what the Yankees need is a complete lineup , meaning speed, power, and batters that hit for avg
Considering we only had 5 guys hit 20 HRs I'd say you're exaggerating a tad.

One is most likely gone in Swisher. One is possibly gone in Martin. And everyone wants to trade the guy with 43 HRs because we have too many HR hitters. Makes sense.

yea i over exaggerated , my point is we need a complete lineup. Something actually like the Tigers lineup.

    Speed,
    contact
    AVG/power
    Power
    Rbi guy
    Semi Power

catch my drift , the Yankees had alot of all or nothing guys and you're not going to win like that point black period. We need some baseball fundamentals put into this lineup IE. Man on 1st and 2nd drop a bunt advance the runner over.

IMO thats how you win and stay away form HUGE slumps

    1. King Felix does not want to come to NY. EVER. He already said it, and they wont trade him.

    2. Cargo? He's horrible away from home. We don't have the pieces to get him

    3. The rest? I dont even wanna get into detail. Are farm is thin as is.

Freakin fantasy land. This isnt MLB the show.

getting those type of guys doesnt guarantee they will continue to be that way at yankee stadium, Teix and giambi used to be avg hitters that used the field along with power then they turned into pull happy sluggers

granderson wasnt the same hitter before he cme to the yankees

so this idea that what the yankees need to do is bring less power hitters and get guys that hit for avg, gap to gap thinking they will translate the same here is i believe wrong unless they are right handed hitters that hit the other way like Jeter arod and montero

The Tigers won just 88 games, which is not impressive considering they played 54 games against three pretty horrible teams in their division. The fact that they won the ALCS has more to do with how poorly the Yankees hit than anything having to do with the way the Tigers are put together. The way the Yankees played, the Royals probably would have swept them.

    One- Let swish go
    bring Kuroda back, Ichrio back.
Fully healthy Gardner next year, all speed outfield. Bring up some kids. Hope Andy decides to come back, bring Moe back. Boom 95 win team again. We have to have some kid hitters worth bringing up.
