Cole Hamels being pressured

No source but it was on sports final last night and Howard Eskin said the phillies have offered 6 years 140 plus mill but the mlb players association are pushing for Hamels to decline and wait for free agency....They think he would become the highest paid pitcher in baseball and would help reset the market or something along those lines.

They also said something will happen in the next few days...Either he will sign or he will be traded...this is all from eskin.

Hamels would not become the highest paid pitcher in baseball. Just take the deal and don't get greedy

with some of the ridiculous contracts that have been thrown around these past couple of seasons he really could become the highest paid pitcher in baseball

Pitchers should take notes from jered weaver. Took less money to stay put. Getting the most money shouldn't be everything.

kinda agree...think I would rather trade him....we have far to much money thrown into pitching.
