Plus theirs a decsent chance that Delgado ends up in the pen where unless something goes horribly wrong Nova is always going to be a starter.

I thought of Culver as well but he is only in low A where the other guy is scheduled to start in AAA. Culver is only 19 and still has a chance to turn out to be an above average player where Ahmed doesn't have a ton of projection left.

To me their is no comparing Cano and Prado other than being a FA at the end of the yr, Cano is easily the best 2nd baseman in baseball and a top 5-10 hitter in the league. Prado is a very good utility guy but far from a superstar. I know people are down on Cano but i wouldn't have traded Cano for J Up straight up
Prado was 10th in the NL in WAR (5.4) last year. The only Yankee higher than that was Cano (8.2).

What they weren't willing to do was pay him his full contract.
•cashman told reporters, including mlb.com's mark newman, that he had conversations with the diamondbacks about justin upton but arizona was never focusing on making a deal with them. That fits in line with a report from espn.com's buster olney earlier this month that indicated that several teams were anxious to get in on the talks but were struggling to get a response from gm kevin towers & co.

your right i just looked at his offensive numbers and a .301 with 10 hrs, 70 rbis and 17 SB's didn't jump out at me as a star. A ton of that War must be from his defense.

I'd have Montgomery in the 6 slot.

The features I saw on him , he looked nasty!

If I had to guess, they probably did not place him higher because he's a relief pitcher.

I do like him, he should be up soon for the team.

Mason Williams is on John Mayo's Top 10 OF watch:

    10. Mason Williams, Yankees: The Yankees handed out seven figures to Williams, a fourth-round pick in 2010, to sign him away from a commitment to South Carolina. He still has a ways to go, but the 2012 South Atlantic League All-Star is starting to show that New York may have made a wise investment. A left-handed hitter, Williams has displayed a knack for making consistent contact and should continue to hit for average. More power should develop in the future. So should his basestealing ability, as his overall game improves through physical and emotional maturity. He can be the kind of impact player teams love to have patrolling center field in the big leagues.

Except Jones is 6'3 225 and Williams is listed at 6'0 150. He needs to bulk up a little.

Yes, but I think Jones was quite thin at that age too . Hey, I have never even seen mason . I'm just going by what I read. I like to read about our farm guys, but admittedly have never seen any of em play.

i believe that was the weight Williams was listed at when he was drafted. I have read a couple places he's closer to 185-190 now.

How long has Mason been in the Yankees system?

And that is all he tops the scales at is 150?

    Pathetic!

    He is a jockey!

    Start carbing up Mason!
