High-A Tampa was rained out. Not sure when or even if they’re going to make this one up because they aren’t scheduled to play Bradenton again this season.
Rookie GCL Yanks had their regularly scheduled Sunday day off

i thought with the last 4 starts he was turning a corner but my goodness he's been bad this yr. I thought worst case he had a solid shot at being a descent reliever but his command has been so bad all yr I'm not sure if he could hit the broad side of a barn from the mound consistently.
It a shame because he probably has the best overall stuff in the system when he controls it. I doubt the Yanks give up on him because of that but whatever their working on with him isn't working. The cracked finger nail and blister excuses are getting a little old
Betances will likely never have an impact on our team. Has good "stuff", but he gets lit up or walks the entire team too much. I dont know of how many effective starters were struggling so mightly in AA at 24.
Ummm....Betances was obviously awful last year when he came up. Why this is still a mystery is beyond me.
He has zero chance of success in the big leagues. Zero.

i don't think a 2 games in late September is enough of a sample size to say he is never going to be any good at the MLB level. His performance so far in the minors though is pretty conclusive of the debacle he has been all yr.
The absolute only reason IMO the Yanks have stuck with him starting this long is because when he has been on he is almost unhittable. His stuff is that good and it always seems to take really tall pitchers alot longer to figure out, Randy Johnson really didn't get his command figured out till he was 27-28. I don't mean that Betances is comparable to Johnson in anyway other than height but if Betances ever figures it out he could be a truly dominant starter.
I would say the chances Betances every seriously contributes anything seriously to the Yankees is less than 5% but IMO that what if factor is so huge with Betances they'll continue to give him opportunities. It would be just the Yanks luck that he would figure it out with another team after they let him go for nothing
Actually, really tall pitchers don't usually work out that well. And please everybody, don't start listing all the exceptions to the rule. You'd only be proving my point.
Betances will likely be traded for some bench help. or something at this point. This is what the yankees typically do whenever they have a top prospect who's struggling a bit.
Betances is a bust
Who fixed Randy Johnson when he had the same problems? The Yanks need to hire that guy.
