His per 36 is almost identical to Stiemsma, and will cost much less. Averages almost 9 PPG, and 6 Rebounds. He's not awful...... If he gets minutes.

Advanced stats for both (I looked at Darko's 10'/11' season since it's the most games he's played in since 07' (on a side note that's not a good sign)...

Check out those advanced stats and there not all that close...

A few years in Europe has made Stiems a better player, where as 9 years in the NBA has done little but make Darko a richer man...

I love to read the posts about Darko on the T-Wolves PSD forum... Very comical...
It's a 4th/5th big man for the minimum/BAE. I'm not going to be picky.

He has a pulse, he's 7 feet tall, he's capable of playing defense, and he can dunk the ball.

    I'll take him.

I'm still pulling for Stiemsma, but I agree that with Rondo any breathing person who can catch and go up strong has value on this team. Tall is a bonus because undersized guys don't get many calls inside when the playoffs role around

Darko isn't my first, second, or third choice but if comes down to him or Hollins...

No way. Danny needs to pay the Clippers or Nets something just to make sure he doesn't end up here. A complete bust who can't stay healthy.

SI: Statistics suggest Joel Embiid will fully recover from foot surgery. But it could be 9-12 months before he plays http://bit.ly/1qwZuIB

The fact that he didn't live up to his draft potential doesn't mean he can't be a rotational big.

We won't need him to start like the other teams he's been on. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Darko blows, but he's way better then Hollins for christsakes.

In this game of musical chairs if this who comes to us, then grin and bear it, but I'd hope for better then this.

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

Those 2 in the same sentence ... It goes to show what 7 feet can do for some stiffs...
