C.J. Watson (signs with Bucks; 4 years, 13M)

    Mr. Watson,

We are shocked to see that you are still on the market and without an offer. We love what we saw from you in taking over the PG duties when Derrick Rose went down for the Bulls last year. We also know that you've tasted a deep post-season run and know that you crave a championship. We believe you can achieve that here in Indiana. Mr. Watson, we are looking for a veteran presence to back-up Mr. Curry and we believe that you could be that presence. We can promise you 14-18 MPG as our back-up PG. We are not in a position to offer you what we ideally would like to but we want to offer you some flexibility. With that said, we'll offer you a 2 year veteran minimum deal with the 2nd year being a Players-Option for $1,985,360.
    Year 1: $992,680
    Year 2: $992,680 (PO)
    Total: $1,985,360

Mr. Watson, we value the type of leadership and playmaking you can bring to our 2nd unit. We know that you are still a young player but you've experienced the post-season and that is what we are looking for in our back-up PG.

Come to Indiana and help us win a championship Mr. Watson.

    Mr. Watson,

The Bucks love what you did with the Chicago Bulls the last two years and would love to have you a port of our team. We would like for you to come in and back-up Andre Miller playing the same role you played with the Bulls. We would like to offer you the rest of our MLE:

    Year 1: $2,000,000
    Year 2: $2,090,000 (PO)
    Year 3: $2,184,050 (PO)
    Year 4: $2,282,332 (PO)
    Total: $8,556,382

We hope you like the opportunity and we would love to have you. Thanks for the time.

Actually, the Bucks have to retract their offer for a little bit. We'll be back soon though CJ.

    Mr. Watson,

We are also big fans of yours and have a glaring hole on our roster at backup PG. Goran Dragic is our starter and while we love him as our starter, it would be great to have an experienced player such as yourself behind him.

We are offering you our full Mini MLE with 4.5% increases and a player option after year one.

    Year 1: $2,500,000
    Year 2: $2,575,000 (PO)

Marc Gasol / Ryan Hollins / Tyrus Thomas
Serge Ibaka / Trevor Booker / Marvin Williams
Wilson Chandler / Caron Butler / Shane Battier
    Tony Allen / Jason Terry
Goran Dragic / CJ Watson / Tony Wroten Jr.

Is what we're envisioning with you on our roster. A deep, young squad that can run with anyone and uses their depth to wear the other team down.

We hope to have you in Memphis next year Mr. Watson, let us know what you think.

Indiana: My client feels he would have the best chance to win a championship here, but without more money he won't seriously consider the Pacers.

Memphis: He sees playing time behind Goran Dragic and believes he would be competing for a championship with the Grizzlies.

Milwaukee: The money and the playing time makes them the current leader.

No decision from C.J. at the moment.

    CJ,

We are glad to hear that you have genuine interest in us. As we already told you, you will be the backup to Miller. We have former bulls, Noah and Boozer already here so you have familiarity. We have completely revamped this team and hope to contend this year. Thanks

C.J. Watson signs with the Milwaukee Bucks for 4 years, 8.5M.
