Emmitt, he was more productive for a longer period of time. LT's best 3-4 years might have been better than Emmitt's best 3-4 years but for a career it was Emmitt.

I'm going to say LT. This is hard but Smith just had a better team around him for his career then LT. Smith's OL was one of the best ever. Say You take Smith and put him on the Lions team and take Barry Sanders and put him on that dallas team. i think Barry could have be so much more. Don't get me wrong Smith is one of the great RBs ever. He just had more around him, For at least 4 or 5 years LT was the chargers.

Personally I think Emmitt is one of the most overated athletes in all of sports. I went with LT.

Emmitt just for the fact he did what he did for soooo long. I also hate when people say Emmitt is overrated but people put Walter Payton on a pedestal. Smith & Payton were pretty much the same exact back.

Except Payton was better... by a lot.

Payton was impossible to bring down, if he wasn't on such a crappy team for most of his career(not much unlike Sanders), what he would have done would be so many leagues ahead of Emmitt.

Meanwhile, Emmitt worked with what, probably like an average of 6 other hall of fame players on his offense a year? Almost every damn blocker he had was a pro bowler. Yet his YPC was awful.

emmitt, leader in rushing td's, rushing yards, 3 superbowls, superbowl mvp, league mvp, and many more.

emmitt smith, missed two games in a hold out in 1993. they started 0-2. He came back, they then went on to win a superbowl.

    emmitt smith. better then LT.
