    Landry Fields (Signs with Bulls)

    Landry,

We here in the Knicks organization have some great news for you. The Lakers have contacted us with a S&T possibility and want you to play an integral role off their bench. They are a powerhouse team in the west and are looking forward to adding you to that core. They will be here shortly to talk over contract details. Here is the contract the wish to offer:

    Year 1: $2,500,000
    Year 2: $2,500,000

    2yrs/$5 million

This is a great opportunity for you Landry to become a more established player in the league, have a chance at a ring or 2, and work towards that next big pay-day

We hope you strongly consider the Lakers offer to go win a title.

    Sincerely,

    NYK Management

    Landry,
You went to Stanford to get the best education you could from the best people you could. Well now come to LA to learn how to be the best SG you can from one of the best ever. Lets win a title together.

Landry just watched his former teammates Steve Novak and JR Smith sign for 5 million and 7 million per year respectively. He'll wait for better offers.

Knicks didn't offer Fields a QO so they can't sign and trade him if they wanted to.

Landry is an UFA and is free to sign where ever he wants. Should he choose the Lakers, he's able to join a championship team and rotation as well as help his former team.

You're right, he can sign where he wants. You don't have the ability to sign and trade him anywhere though because you didn't accept his QO. It's the same reason why I've made no attempt to sign and trade Darrell Arthur or Marresse Speights. Because it's not possible.

    Mr. Fields,

The Bulls would like to offer you a contract. You would be the starting SG for this team.

    Year 1: 4,000,000
    Year 2: 4,000,000
    Year 3: 4,000,000
    Year 4: 4,000,000

    Fields
    Dunleavy

    Landry will sign with Chicago.

He likes the money, the supporting cast and the long term commitment from the organization.

He looks forward to playing for the Bulls.
