    NBA Addition Award Ideas

Do you think the NBA needs Additional Awards? What Awards do you think the NBA needs to add and who do you think would win it?
I think the NBA needs to add an OPOY- Offensive Player of the Year and i Think Kevin Durant would win it. Discuss.

    Yes Durant would win it.
Rose may have won it his MVP year.

I wouldn't mind seeing more awards, but I just don't know what they could be and still have them be meaningful...Offensive player of the year I could understand but what else? If you start getting too specific (passer of the year, rebounder, etc.) i think it dilutes the meaning of the award.

They need two DPOY awards, one for post defenders and one for wing defenders and PGs.

And I think the IMB award should be brought back.

And OPOY would be interesting. Would they just give it to the leading scorer? Or would they factor assists into the formula.

They have to put all the Offensive Factors in it. Scoring, Assist, and most of all important, an Offensive Rebound.

Comeback player doesn't automatically mean most improved.

Say someone missed a whole year to injury, then they come back. TAke Brandon Roy or something.
