    Where will Doan sign?

NHL source just confirmed to me that an Eastern Conference team has offered Coyotes Captain Shane Doan a 4-year deal worth more than 30 mill

So far the Canucks, Sharks, Kings, and now this mystery team has offered him a contract. Coyotes are still in play. When and where will he sign?

You missed the Red Wings who were reported to be on the top of his list. I don't know who that mystery team is, but there is no way he's getting $7,500,000 per year. That's a joke.

Who's twitter is that? He doesn't look like a good source, and judging by this, he's not.

He'll wait until July 15th to see what's up with Phoenix. They've stated this. If he doesn't re-sign, he'll sign with a contender (Detroit, Vancouver, Los Angeles).

I just included teams that have reportedly offered a contract. I didn't know Detroit officially offered him a contract. As for the source, I think he's legit. Probably not as reliable as McKenzie/Dreger but he is a host for an Arizona sports station.

Regarding the favorite to sign him, I read it was the Sharks. Didn't know Detroit was higher than them.

Detroit is rumored to be right at the top. San Jose could be higher, but Detroit is rumored to be right up there. I've heard a top three team, and at one, the number one team.

I've never heard of this guy in my life. Judging by this offer from an Eastern Conference team, I don't think he's the best. If Shane Doan is a 7.5M per year guy then we're certainly hitting a lockout.

The top of his list is Phoenix. He doesn't want to be more than 100 miles away from his farm. He's got something crazy like a 150 horse farm.

If this article is accurate, then in all likelihood, Doan stays a Yote, unless a new snag pops up. Doan has made it clear he wants to stay in Phoenix.

If he is going to leave Phoenix I would love to see him go back to Winnipeg. He could finish his career where he started it.

I thought he said he wanted no part of Winnipeg. IIRC that was said when there were rumours of the 'yotes moving. I might be wrong but i think thats what he said.

If he leaves, i think Detroit or even Dallas might land him. really doubt he leaves the western conference

I have no idea where Doan wants to go. I just think it would be a great story if he returned to Winnipeg. I doubt it would happen though.
