We are way too far into the mock for you to not know this.

    Team Pens
    player Brooks Orpik
    reason

MR Orpik it's the Panthers here, we just wanted to ask if you would waive your NTC to come to south florida, we looked into it and you can submit a lsit of 8 team u will not go to. We are hoping you will come to florida. The Pens are having some finacil issues and they need to sell off some players, we were very aggresive to aquire your services. We have already added Girardi, and Streit to our defense core and we think with the addition of you we will have one of the most deadly d's out there. We have added the likes of Streit, Riberio, Girardi, Vrbata, Jagr, Kipper fisher and Greene we are a legit cup contender and we want you to come join somethign special in sunny florida.

Orpik will not include Florida in his no trade list, so he will waive to come to Florida.

Pass. Like I said, New York got extremely good value for Dan Girardi here. However, I had them pegged as a top two team in the Eastern Conference. This trade damages their backend (which is fine), but really doesn't make a difference up front, right now. I'm not even betting on Jonathan Huberdeau being ready this season.

As for Florida. It seems like they're really going prospect trading hungry. Come on dude. I understand it's a mock, but you got to focus on now and the present if you want to win best GM. You lost your top three kids in Huberdeau, Markstrom, and Gudbranson. Riberio and Kipper won't be playing at a high level for long.

Girardi is in his mid 20's, Riberio is 31, Kipper is 35 coming off one of his best season. Huberdeau is awesome no doubt, i didn't want to trade him but i got back a one of a kind defensmen in this era.

Gudbranson is grossly grossly overated and hated being in Florida he has been nothing but a problem since being drafted.

Markstrom cant say much bad about him. Solid kid, solid goalie. Kipper is a legit top 5 on anyones list.

Accept. I NEEDED a top 6 forward badly and Kostitsyn will be that guy. He's going to play with a level of talent he has never played with before. Klein is just a solid piece, not spectacular, but he won't hurt you either. Larsson has a high ceiling, but he isn't there yet and probably won't be for at least 2 years. Its a deal I needed to make.

I originally was really confused as to how I have so many D specs and no forward specs but the more I look around, the more it looks like there just aren't any good forward specs out there lol.

    Derek Forbort (7.0C)

Trade #101: Predators and Avalanche -- ACCEPTED

    To the Avalanche:
    Jonathan Blum (7.5C)

    To the Predators:
    Joey Hishon (7.5D)
    Sami Aittokallio (7.0C)
    Cody McLeod - 1,150,000

I'm only making this trade because I'm able to get Aittokallio with Hishon. I think there is a decent chance that Joey Hishon never plays hockey again after that devastating hit he took in last years Memorial Cup, he didn't play at all this season. But he's still a great prospect if he can get himself healthy and he'll get lots of time to get healthy on my team. Getting Aittokallio makes me feel like its worth the risk, especially considering how bad Blum has been and how it seems like FOREVER that the Preds have been waiting for this guy to get to the NHL and with my crazy D depth.
