Remember the finals were good but that's not the whole season. the lockout helped tick ratings up for ONE YEAR. People wanted to see basketball so the ratings ticked up. Basketball is slipping further behind the NFL and MLB. Look at the ratings outside New York, Miami, and L.A. But the ratings have declined every year AS A WHOLE except the post-lockout. It's true go look at the ratings over the pas 10 years.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

My point is to show that the NBA ratings sunk so low over the previous 10 years the past couple years rises over the past few years don't mean that the NBA has strength in ratings. The NBA has many teams losing money from lack of attendance and care. Compare ratings from now to pre-2003 ratings. It's going to take more teams being good than just 5 or 6. That's why they had a lockout remember?
