That would be so sweet to get Gay with Love. It would be like a dream come true. A Gay dream...and add Rubio into the mix too, with all those alley oops he would be throwing to Rudy. Talk about a Gay facial! We could really stretch the court with our three point shooting from three players in our starting 5...Sexy, Gay, Love. My only concern, is that people would be rude about Rudy's last name here...although, I think he is pretty proud of his last name, some might say he has Gay pride. If the rumors are true, there will be a lot of Gay tension leading up to the trade deadline.

you want a shooter so you sell huge future assests for a guy who is under control for only the rest of this season. (since this is our "only chance to win")

just slow down Rubio isnt steve nash k-love isnt KG... this team's window isnt THIS YEAR OR BUST.
I understand that Gasol fits the Adelman system and the spacing concept. But that 19mil combined with his age and health concerns just make this unattractive.
And I don't understand the Varejao thing. I don't think it's homerism to say that Pek is better than him. Just pay the man.
Now if you want to make a Love, Pek, Varejao frontcourt that's another case.

In response to all the rumors here is a whopper that seems to answer a bunch of "issues" Not sure I would do it but...
    1. Loves "no Love for MN", 2. Gay and cap. 3. MN's love for Gasol (s) 4. LA's need to get younger and more athletic. Everyone gets stars and what they want. Not sure I would do as not a huge Pau fan but....

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bg2gmxg

Wolves end up with Rubio, Shved, Ak, Gasol and Gasol as starters.
Memphis ends up with Conally, Allen, Gay, Love, Pek
LA ends up with Nash, Kobe, Williams, Randolph, and Howard.

    not likely but fun.

That is actually pretty intriguing for all involved. But I would prefer Gay over Pau. Which then leaves us short at the PF position... Idk none this is ever going to happen but very interesting trade idea!

no way dude. Is everyone here really that enamored with Gay? He is a chucker. Discard age, and I wouldn't take him straight up over AK.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

there is a reason they are looking to trade him. Get value now, while he is young, because he is taking shots away from their interior dominators. They are better off getting a floor spreader who can defend to pair up with Allen to build the best defense in the NBA going into the playoffs.

No I definitely agree with you. Although the age factor is a significant one. And also Gay is a player who could be a go to guy or another source of scoring which outside Love (until this year at least) we don't have.
But I am not sold. Especially if it would cost us AK who has been our MVP this year.

a volume scorer who hovers around league average with his TS% (well below the last 2 years), plays no defense, and is a ball stopper. No, I have him nailed. He is simply a guy who can score, but it doesn't do much for him team.

nope. He is assigned to the weakest wing nightly, and has Allen and Gasol to help him all night. He is one dimensional, and for his usage, is far too inefficient. I really have zero interest in him with the money he makes on top of that.

I actually thought this may happen when Hollinger took a front office position as their analytics guy. Gay fits his profile of guys to stay away from paying big money to.
