offense will pick up as Love gets healthier and starts knocking down his shots/FTs. I expect Pek's efficiency to rise a bit as well when Rubio gets back. I would expect our FT shooting to get better, which will help our offensive efficiency big time. Expect a slight fall in defensive efficiency, as our schedule gets tougher starting later this month.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

Finally, Vesley is far more lost than Williams and won't even see the light of day every third game on our team. I'd rather stand pat with tempo-pushing Barea, higher potential/value Williams, and starting-to-look-legit Lee.
My thoughts on the Washington trade.

I would gladly trade williams + for George or for reddick.

Yes true the T-Wolves offense will get better when Love get's more healthier and when Rubio comes back.

There is a fascination with JJ Redick here, and I get that fascination...but, is JJ better than what we have when we are healthy? Is he better than Budinger? is he better than Shved? I can better understand possibly going after Pau, cause he makes our team better than what Reddick does. Where does Redick fit in when we are healthy? I assume we would find time for a player like that, but does he get minutes over Chase? Shved? even Roy? Even if he does, how many minutes does he play? Are those minutes enough to warrant trading someone like Derrick Williams for him? We feel we are in such need for a SG right now, because with the injuries, we are. But do we have such a need later in the season?

Reddick is better than Chase and Roy only because he comes in one piece. If Chase hadn't gone down, I think my hard on for Reddick would be marginal....like the one I'd get for my 9th grade social studies/history teacher. Also, please for the love of Sweet Baby Jesus stay away from Pau.

Like Topdog mentioned, I would do a swap with the Wizards for Beal. Swap an under-performing #2 pick for an under-performing #3 pick.

    PSD Grammar Lesson #1:

    a) their - stands for "belonging to them"
    b) there - means "over there" as in location
    c) they're - short for "they are"

Not sure if I would do it, but something like this would work:

I dont know...do we need to make a trade? I just have a feeling that if we had Chase right now, nobody would be asking for Redick. If we had a healthy Chase, Roy (helthy by his standards now), and Shved, I think it would actually make more sense to go after Pau than Redick.

I really think Pau is a great player. As a Lakers fan it's easy to see how lucky we have been having a guy like that play here. At this point tho... I dont think he would make the wolves better. Pau would slow your team down a lot. I think for the Wolves it makes more sense to make a minor deal for a guy like Reddick or Dorrell Wright. Had Roy been able to stay healthy he couldve been the answer, but he was clearly unable to do so.

I don't see many Orlando games so I don't know his game that well, only from some highlights and game video, but he looks better than Shved(For now) and seems somewhat of a Chase clone(Or vice versa).

The differences seem to be Bud's athleticism and his height, where as Redick seems to have a bit better ball handling. Don't know much about his D and how it compares to Bud, but they are both snipers from 3, the both or very active and mobile cutting and rolling around picks.

It would make sense to get him now, while Bud is injured, because he brings what we are missing badly from Bud's absence. But I agree with you that if we were healthy there wouldn't really be a need for him here.

I guess the theory would be that J-ho is gone after this season, Roy's done, so if we did trade for him then he would start at the two with Shved coming off the bench while Bud has more of the size for the 3 spot, leaving him the primary back up there for AK, especially if we trade D-Will off?

    Rubio/JJ or Ridnour/Lee
    Redick/Shved/Lee
    AK/Bud/Cunningham?
    Love/AK/Cunningham/Amundson
    Pek/Love/Steamer/Amundson

^ This is assuming Cunningham fills the 3 spot for certain match ups, and if he can really do it. Seems to leave us a bit thin at the 3, but we would obviously have to pick up some warm bodies for depth.

You may be right about this, but Rubio can be just as good in the half court setting up players as he is in transition. I mean look at Pek, he has struggled this year and it may have been partly due to not having Rubio to set him up in his spots.

Pek is a monster when he gets position in the paint, but he is what he is. He is a brute. He is not a passer, he doesn't dribble and has no finesse with his game. He is the exact opposite of Pau pretty much.

If it were a question of a healthy same aged Pau as Pek, then it would be an easy decision. But Pau is older, is currently battling chronic injuries, and has a huge contract.

Pek is younger, he is physically strong, well condition, and is about to be locked up for a while. The combination of Love and Pek can be devastating because its hard to move them inside. Neither one is a defensive minded player, but they can wall up and not be moved and gobble some boards.

Although I think that with Adelman's Offense Pau could resurrect himself, I just don't know if you mortgage the future of having one of the better centers in the league locked up for a long time, for cheaper and longer. I think that is the part that scares people.

I would love that or even expand to http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ahvydqr

For some reason I have in my brain Vessely could be the next AK with some coaching.

I think Reddick just makes to much sense to pass up if he is available. He is a great 3pt shooter, a pretty good passer, a good shooter off screens and is a decent defender for the position.

Sure, but the salary increase is what bugs me, in both trades as a matter of fact.
