I think it's a decent pickup. Not the elite talent we always salivate over, but he's solid and good in the locker room. The price is right also.

its actually my favorite move of this offseason because of what it represents. Instead of trading away core players for Ryan or Nash, move up your own guys, let them develop, and just sign a proven/solid veteran for their former roles as grinders/checking liners. Guys like Couts, Schenn, and Wellwood have no business on the 4th line.
