    Erick Dampier (Signs with Rockets)

Mr. Dampier, the Philadelphia 76ers are lacking a backup center, and we feel that you can feel that void. Your size, shot blocking, and veteran leadership can really be used on our roster, so we'd like to offer you a 1 year veteran's minimum contract ($1,352,181).

hope yo hear from you soon,

    Mr. Damiper
We would like you to come back up Dwight Howard, we feel that your defesneive ability is perfect to our bench. Our bench currently looks like PG/ SGT-Mac SF Lewis/Cassipi PF Hansborugh C. We feel like you are a perfect fit. You would get 10-12 mins off the bench depending on the games. Come join the Rockets and compete for a Championship.

    Mr. Dampier,

The Magic are thrilled to see we still have an opportunity to sign a veteran big man such as yourself. Currently our rotation is:

PG - Jrue Holiday / Derek Fisher
SG - Kevin Martin / Chauncey Billups
SF - Shawn Marion / Brandon Roy
PF - Ryan Anderson / Jeremy Evans
    C - Pau Gasol / Kurt Thomas

We currently have a big whole in the frontcourt. We see you as our 3rd best big man and you would get plenty of minutes on a team built for a title run. You'd get more minutes with the Magic than any of the other teams. We see you as a rebounding machine who deserves some more touches around the basket. You're skill as an offensive rebounder is one of the best kept secrets in the NBA. You're the 8th best offensive rebounder in NBA History. We haven't had cap space all FA until today and the first thing we did is come to you. You can look we're not offering to other FA. It's all about Dampier. We'd love to see you post up on the block on a big lineup and give Gasol room to move to the high post. You're also a phenomenally effecient scorer. We see you getting some touches on the block and then crashing the glass for some easy put backs. We can also use you on our small lineup and help initiate fast breaks.

We hope our offer is enough. We offer you the guaranteed veteran's minimum contract ($1,352,181) for 3 years. Hope to hear from you soon!

Houston Matches Orlando's offer. You would backup Dwight Howard and compete for a championship. We feel like we have the best chance to get you a ring and you get to backup the best big man in the game.

    Mr. Dampier,

We respect that Houston offers to match but do they even see you in the same light that we do? Do they know how to utilize you? Do they understand your offensive effeciency or incredible rebounding skill? We see you as full complete player not as some backup big to sign for kicks. We hope you consider this when you make your decision. Hoping to see you in blue and white soon.

    Mr, Dampier,
We know your value and love your fit off the bench for this team. You and Amir would be one of the best 4-5 combos off the bench to come in for one of the best starting 4-5 combos. We know exactly how you play and think we would be the perfect match. We repsect whichever desicon you make but hope you choose Houston.
    Thank you,

Mr. Dampier simply sees the Rockets as more of a title contender at this point. The money was the same between the Magic and the Rockets, and the threesome of Nash, KG, and Dwight was too good to pass up.

Dwight is coming off surgery and Kevin's minutes have been declining the past few seasons, so not only does Erick like the chance of playing for a title contender, he likes the idea that he will be able to legitimately contribute to a title contender.

The mix of minutes, teammates, and money was enough for him to choose Houston.
