"I want to recognize the extraordinary contribution that my colleague, Scot Beckenbaugh, Deputy Director for Mediation Services, made in providing herculean assistance of the highest caliber to the parties throughout the most critical periods in the negotiations," FMCS Director George Cohen said as part of a statement.

Thank Scot Beckenbaugh. He earned his paycheck on with this one. Wonder if he even like hockey. If he did, he probably f---ing hates it now.

Glad the lockout is over. Does anyone know how many injured players the Wings have? I saw something about Eaves, Cleary, Helm, Filippula, Emmerton, and maybe Samulesson being injured.

Great news to wake up to today

I was reading something about the entire schedule being in conference only, can anyone confirm? Could be travel trouble for Detroit.

Fil could be ready, he's been skating. Eaves is still suffering from PSC. Haven't heard about Helm, but from what I gather, he's good to go.
Carlo Colaiacovo injured in Spengler cup, a sign of things to come, I'm sure, for him. Hudler out with cut, hahahahahaha sucks for Flames!!! Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I read on ESPN if the season starts by the 15th it'll be 50, if the 19th it'll be 48.

Hence my lack of enthusiasm when they signed him. So basically, we have the same D that we had when we lost Lidstrom and Stuart.

I think we are all jumping the gun a little on Carlo. He will be back and will prove to be a good 4-6 defender and its not like his contract is a killer.
