Boyes has scored 40 goals before and 70 points. He is just one year removed from a 55 point season.
He will eithe rbe our 2nd line C or 1st line RW. He is only 30 and at 1 mil for 1 year? Really solid pickup
Carkner is 3 years and I love the signing. He's only a 5 or 6 dman, btu he's a solid one. He's physical and big, 6-4 240. He's perfect for our 3rd pair

Boyes at a HUGE discount, I like that signing a lot for the Isles, could be the best one all day.

Boyes is a no risk, high reward type signing, and I thinkt he reward will eb higher than lower, that's how his career's been trending and you have to think he'll have a shot in our top 6. And Carkner, like I said, is a big phsyical guy who will block shots and protect our players. I relaly like it.

Carkner deal is 1.5 mil per year for 3 years.
According to capgeek, the Isles still have 22 mil in cap space, which I believe, is about 7-8 million in floor space.

Not bad at all. Gotta replace pa somehow and Boyes could be the next random guy we sign who explodes with a good year. Like Carkner too but 3 years is too long for him

3 years might be too long but he's only 31 and he's cheap enough that trading him or waiving him fi he were to turn out to do **** for us wont bee too difficult.

Happy with the Boyes signing, if he can repeat what he did earlier in his career he will be a steal. Does anyone agree with me that the Avalanche overpaid for PA Parenteau? I think if Boyes has a solid year for us Garth did a great move.
