That sounds like some good news... I really believe Suter is coming to Detroit... Idk about Parise tho... But I know the wings are pushing hard for him... Let it be today... And if it's a no go on Parise I say go hard at bobby Ryan

If true I like this idea.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the Detroit Red Wings could have some interest in unrestricted free agent Shane Doan.
Helene St. James passes along word that if the Red Wings can't land Zach Parise, they'll turn their sights on Doan. Even after adding some grit in Jordin Tootoo, the Red Wings aren't the "toughest team to play against" - at least in the most physical terms. Getting a hard-hitting forward who can also score like Doan would add another dimension to their already-impressive attack.

    Doan would be great imo.

    Franzen - Datsyuk - Doan
    Filppula - Zetterberg - Samuelsson/Brunner/Cleary/Bertuzzi
    Nyquist - Helm - Samuelsson/Brunner/Cleary/Bertuzzi
    Miller - Abdelkader - Eaves/Tootoo

We would have a ton of right wings though. I wouldn't mind seeing Cleary gone if we signed Semin or Doan.

who told them to up the offer,

As per Helene St. James, the Wings made an offer of $80 million over 13 years to Suter on Sunday, and have since increased the money to $90 million. Their top offer averages to a cap hit of $6.9 million, which would put Suter among the leaders for defensemen. Helene St. James/Detroit Free Press

    Oh my god more waiting!
Nashville Predators unrestricted free agent defenseman Ryan Suter won't make his announcement today, according to his agent Neil Sheehy.
It brings up the interesting possibility that the NHL's two big free agent targets might make their announcements - and thus open the flood gates - on the Fourth of July. Either way, Suter is taking his time, much like Zach Parise.

I would like to get Doan but I'd rather have Semin and Both would be best.

I'd be shocked if someone offered Suter more money than that. As it is from year 7-13 he's gonna be way overpaid in the deal we offered him.

Also the sooner Parise decides the quicker we can move on to Nash/Doan/Ryan/Semin

Well D**N we just lost out on another option while waiting for Parise. Jagr to Stars.

    Stars sign Jagr
One year, $4.5 million. Two 40-year-old forwards in Dallas top six next season. Jagr had a strong positive influence on young and veteran teammates alike in Philadelphia, and Stars hope he'll bring same.

I would have rather given Jagr an extra 1.5M instead of signing Sammy.
