That works - 6.7 mil a year. Wasn't Lidstrom making 6.1? Not much more of a cap hit.
yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath on a decision tonight for either Suter or Parise, but rumor is as soon as Parise is signed, Nash trade will be in the works.

Market was set real early for Parise/Suter 12-13 year deals offered at 90M plus. Incredible to hear #NHL teams willing to go there.

Everything I've posted can be read in this story basically
I would be shocked if Holland actually offers anything in the realm of what it will realistically take to get Nash. This is the same guy who every deadline says prices are too high, not gonna be any different now. Whatever trade package we put up will get outbid by some team....Holland just hasnt shown in the cap era so far that he's willing to part with multiple higher valued young players/prospects. My gut says we'll end up with Semin, and possibly one of Jagr or Selanne or something like that.
I went on capgeek, left the current roster, and added some players.
Abby 1.75
Quincey 3.25 - the 2 of them total 5 mil
Brunner 0.925
Gustavsson 1.5 - was already added on gapgeek
Suter 6.7
Nash/Parise 7.8
That leaves roughly 2.658
