So Kenny completes the back up goaltending with the Monster, so now we go for D, then forward? I like the signing, kinda left field, but I like it.
2012 additions:
Jonas Gustavsson
Jordin Tootoo
Mikael Samuelsson

Definitely an interesting signing. He showed signs of being a solid goaltender on a less than stellar team in Toronto, so seeing him on a team like Detroit surrounded by his countrymen could help him be a very good back up for us.
I like it, better than trusting Joey Mac. He did solid last year, but I just have a hard time trusting a career minor leaguer/backup.![]()
Didn't expect this at all.
Considering this was an unlikely signing, do you think Kenny is gonna be going off the board with the FA signings?

What's the cap hit?

3 million for 2 years so a 1.5 million cap hit. Still have roughly 23 million left to spend
apparently we were supposed to have a whole delagation talk with parise in person today, but updated information now is that we're not going but still going to offer
23 mil - 5 mil for Quincey and Abby = 18 mil - 1.5 = 16.5 mil: however, it is my understanding teams can spend 10% over the cap hit during the FA market. I'm not sure when they have to be under the cap limit.
Anyone see this - I just got it off yardbarker - Parise, the center from New Jersey, is a Minnesota native who is building a house in the Minneapolis suburbs.
Hockeybuzz has a live rumor feed for anyone intersted. Anyone have any other sources.
