yes, unless de haan has an exceptional camp of course.

and yes, vis and streit need to be on separate lines.

we really need another center.. boyes has some experience at center but if you do that you need to get another winger or call up someone like kabanov, or maybe joensuu

and actually if i remember joensuu has something in his contract that he can go back to europe if hes not on the team or something like that(not 100% on this) so he will prob be on the team reguardless

^Joensuu either makes the team or goes back to Europe. He'll make the team if he outplays Ullstrom in camp...

And I agree about C.

I really want to buy out or waive Reasoner and sign Jokinen or trade for a #2 center, Nilesen is a great #3 center and no more. As long as he's there, I cant see us contending at all

I agree, but the isles like to overpay players and they have plenty of room to overpay.

We overpaid Carkner a little but not much an we had the leverage too. With that, do we really like overpay players??? We certainly stayed away from PA< and the JT, KO, Grabner, and Moulson deals were certainly bargains.

The islanders have overpaid for players before carkner. This isn't a negative thing when they have so much room to spend. They've also been known to offer more to players who still chose to go elsewhere (ie ehrhoff). Because of their current situation (with the arena, and finishing last the last 5 years) they probably need to overpay for some players to sign with the team.

Not really sure why everything I post on here lately ends up being questioned by you. if you don't think the islanders have overpaid or offered overpayments over the last few seasons then you haven't been paying attention. I'm happy with the future of this team (outside of the arena situation), I just wish they'd get to that future quicker.

Well if the rumors of the offers we made for Ehrhoff and Kovalchuk were true, than thos edeifnitely would have been overpayments. And like you said, we ar e ateam that can overpay we just need to do it wisely. Kovy would have been a wise overpayment, Salvador or Ehrhoff? Definitely not. And yes the arena is definitely still a major reason why we do need to overpay.

And I think its just a coincidence as theres many differet opinions on Isles ongoings... But you and Brian have been a little fiesty toward me in the last 1-2 months or so.... lol
