    Ike Davis amazing feat

    Buster Olney ‏@Buster_ESPN
The last time Ike Davis got a hit that wasn't for extra-bases was June 17. His last 11 games: 5 doubles, 5 homers, 17 RBI.

Thats pretty sick. This kid has really turned it around. Thats 2 weeks of just all extra base hits.

He's also only walked twice since June 17th, while striking out 9 times. His OBP hasn't raised a single point.

He's found his power. He hasn't turned it around quite yet, either.
    Stoops....there it is!

Yeah thats my major complaint and only one really. He doesn't lay off some really bad pitches. He's done a better job of fighting into deep counts but he's no joey votto.

Yeah he's looking a lot better. I know....all too well, actually. I went to one Cubs game all year (live in Lexington,KY now a days). I went Wednesday.

He's a power hitter...so I don't really care how much he strikes out honestly. Just put the ball over the fence and be a bigtime threat in the lineup to protect the other young guys in the lineup. He's been scorching hot in the past month.

Cmon that is just silly. Right before he broke out of his slump, his walks were spiking like crazy. On the road trip before he came home he had 10 walks, 9 Ks.. then he started busting out like crazy. I called it in the forums that Ike was ready to go on a tear, and made moves for him in fantasy and made a large "Bryce vs Ike" side-bet with a buddy. I am sitting on a huge lead right now.

He's only had 4 games since June 9th without a hit. To say, "he hasn't turned it around quite yet" is beyond ludicrous. The guy raised his OPS 160 points in 3 weeks! You are nuts.

Yes... Terry "The Genius" Collins, benches him for Justin Turner last night.LOL..

Mets winning despite a joke manager. Idiot put his two hottest players (Murphy and Ike) on the bench.. And put Lucas "The Blob" Duda in.

Overall numbers look bad, but he had a .926 OPS in June. I really hope he builds on that and has a solid second half. I want him going into the offseason confident for 2013.
    Props to MetsLegacy
