There is no reason whatsoever to trade Couturier for Nash. Ever. Unless its Couturier for Nash + Johnson, and even then I'm skeptical.

The Flyers need a guy that can stop Malkin and/or Crosby while still providing offense. There are few players in the NHL, let alone on EL contracts, that can do that.

Trading for Nash is an awful idea. Sign Semin. Same production for a lower cap hit and without having to give up assets.

If the Flyers trade Couturier, I may cry. He's their best defensive forward and he has tremendous offensive upside. Last time I checked, this team needed defense. Makes absolutely no sense to trade him for a guy who plays zero defense... with Simmons to boot. No way.
